Yann Le Bechec graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris in graphic design in Jean Widmer’s class (Visual Design).
His academic career allowed him to study at the Cooper Union-School of Art, New-York.Back in Paris, after a stint at the Grapus studio with Pierre Bernard and Gérard Paris-Clavel and then in various agencies, he works as a freelance or salaried graphic designer for the daily press and magazines, publishing, multiple companies and institutions as a designer of visual systems in publishing, press, exhibition signage, computer graphics-cartography and illustration of reportage in the field.
He is currently working for the Direction des Affaires Culturelles (DAC) of the City of Paris as a graphic designer/communication manager. His multidisciplinary approach combines drawing, painting, photography, typed and handwritten text with a constant search for chromatic freshness and the unexpected.
